The TC13 Tube and Wire Style Thermocouple with a Cut-to-Length Option is intended for use by OEM manufacturers, industrial equipment builders, maintenance crews, and process engineers who need a reliable, economical, and configurable temperature sensor for medium-temperature process applications. Because of its simple tube-and-wire design, the sensor provides reliable performance and at the same time allows installers to cut it to the required length on site, thus cutting down installation time and reducing the need for inventory. The ability to cut the sensor to length is available for the standard tube diameters, which makes the TC13 a practical choice both for new installations and for retrofits of existing equipment.
The TC13 is designed for direct measurement of temperature and can be obtained in the form of Type J, K, T, E, and N thermocouples, with measuring junctions that are grounded, ungrounded, or exposed, so that engineers can choose the combination that gives the best compromise between response time, durability, and electrical isolation for their particular application. Various sheath materials, such as 304 and 316 stainless steel, enable the sensor to endure harsh industrial conditions without compromising its long-term measurement stability.
In order to facilitate its integration into OEM equipment and process systems, the TC13 is available with a wide variety of sheath diameters, immersion lengths, lead wire insulation types, process fittings, and connector styles. Because standard plugs, miniature connectors, high-temperature connectors, adjustable compression fittings, and optional accessories are provided, the sensor can be adapted to meet almost any installation requirement.
The TC13 is manufactured in accordance with the ASTM E608/E608M, IEC 60584, and ANSI MC96.1 standards and offers consistent temperature measurement with the level of accuracy and repeatability that is required in industrial process control. If required, optional calibration can be provided for applications in which documented measurement performance is needed.
