In high-temperature industrial environments such as metal processing plants, heat treatment furnaces, cement and glass production facilities, and chemical or petrochemical reactors, the TC111 Base Metal Replacement Thermocouple Element is specifically designed to deliver reliable and accurate temperature measurement under demanding conditions. A key application design feature of the TC111 is its availability in bare wire, insulated, or mineral-insulated (MI) cable configurations, which enhances durability and protects against mechanical stress, corrosion, and thermal shock—common challenges in furnaces, kilns, and foundries. For applications requiring redundancy or fail-safe monitoring, such as in heat treatment furnaces where precise atmosphere and temperature control are critical to prevent metal defects, the single or duplex junction options allow for standard or redundant temperature readings without additional penetration points. The twist welded junction design adds mechanical strength, reducing the risk of premature cracking due to vibration or thermal cycling, which is especially beneficial in chemical reactor vessels and pipelines. Additionally, the TC111 supports IEC 60584 and ANSI MC 96.1 tolerances, with optional ASTM E220 calibration, ensuring that even in extreme heat environments—such as cement kilns or glass melting tanks—measurements remain within strict accuracy limits. The inclusion of ceramic insulators (oval or round) for duplex elements and flexible termination options (bare ends or ceramic terminal blocks) simplifies integration into existing control systems, making the TC111 a practical, field-ready solution for maintaining safety, product quality, and process efficiency across high-temperature industrial applications.
